Cream Cheese Holiday Sugar Cookies

Ingredients

1 cup white sugar
1 cup butter, softened
1 (3 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 egg 
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
Directions

1. In a large bowl, combine the sugar, butter, cream cheese, salt, almond and vanilla extracts, and egg. Beat until smooth. 
2. Stir in flour until well blended. 
3. Chill dough overnight.
4. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (190 degrees C).
5. Lightly flour surface 
6. Roll out the dough to 1/8 inch thickness
7. Cut into shapes with floured cookie cutters. 
8. Place 1 inch apart on ungreased cookie sheets. 
9. Bake for 7 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until light and golden brown
10. Cool cookies completely before frosting.
